        | 1968 Camaro RS SS Convertible Big Block....
This car has been gone through top to bottom and is really a mean street machine. This car was taken down to bare metal and all metal was straightened or replaced the right way. The vibrant color is GM Copper Sunburst with pearl white rallye stripes. The body is arrow straight and the paint is immaculate! This car really looks great in the sun, when the true color just gleams. The interior is black bucket seat (originals) with new door panels and a new dash pad. The carpet is a bit sun faded (lots of top down cruising) but in good shape. The 17'' Billett Specialties polished rims are teamed with BF Goodrich Comp TA tires for that FOOSE look. The RS hidden headlights, the SS emblems, the six inch cowl induction fiberglass hood, and the no bumper look along with the stance give this car a sinister, muscular look that screams LOOK AT ME! THE GO PART - 502 cubic inch Big Block Chevy - 11.5:1 compression - ported and polished 396 HI PERF heads - Comp Cams Magnum 292 Hydraulic Camshaft (MEAN idle) - Edelbrock Single Plane twisted intake (jet hot coated) - Holley 950 DP - DUI HEI electronic ignition - Hooker Headers (jet hot coated) - 3 inch flowmaster exhaust ( 2 chamber) - Doug Nash 5 speed transmission - 4.56 geared 12 bolt with axle girdle THE STUFF THAT HOLDS IT ALL TOGETHER - custom welded subframe connectors - ladder bar/coilover rear suspension with strange coilovers, track bar - front adjustable QA1 coilover shocks - 4 wheel disc brakes - GM front, Wildwood rear - cross drilled rotors - drive shaft loop This car has gone 12.30's on street tires at about 120 MPH. Only had it out once. This translates to about 525 HP, but I think it is closer to 600. The one run was not absolutely full-bore. Hooks well and drives straight. Has provisions for a removable roll bar (2 point) still in rear floor welded in. NO rust on car anywhere. This car has full instrumentation. This car does need a few things. It needs to have the windshield wipers installed (hasn't been out in the rain for over 15 years), the guts for the hidden headlights installed (you have to open the doors manually), and the heater hooked up (again, no need for heat the last 15 years - even on cool nights the motor keeps you warm enough)...
